Chapter 7 - The Shadow Heir"Jonathan West."

The name dropped like a lead weight in the quiet room. Julian’s estranged uncle—a man who had spent the last decade playing the benevolent, retired philanthropist while quietly buying up distressed shares behind his nephew's back.
"If Jonathan takes over," Marcus explained, "he’ll bury the investigation, liquidate the assets, and leave you and Sophie with nothing. He’s ruthless, Anna. More dangerous than Julian ever was."
Sophie clutched Anna’s sleeve. "I don't like Uncle Jonathan. He smells like cold medicine and looks at me like I'm a bug."
Anna stood up, the grief and trauma of her past instantly hardening into armor. She looked at her reflection in the glass, seeing not the traumatized twelve-year-old girl hiding in the ruins, but the true heir to a legacy built on blood and ambition.
"He wants the crown?" Anna said, her voice chillingly calm. "Let’s give it to him. For one day. Until he walks right into the trap."
"What trap?" Marcus asked, raising an eyebrow.

"The emergency board meeting tomorrow at dawn," Anna replied, picking up the leather briefcase. "You’re going to leak a fake tip to the financial press, Marcus. Tell them the missing billions aren't lost in offshore accounts—they're hidden inside the personal trust fund Jonathan set up last month."
Marcus stared at her for a long moment before a slow, approving smile spread across his face. "You really are Elena’s daughter."
