Chapter 18 - DOMINIC’S DESPERATE ESCAPEBROKE OUT OF JAIL FOR REVENGE: Dominic’s Horrifying Final Confrontation!

Two months later, news broke across every media outlet: Disgraced Tech CEO Dominic Bennett Escapes Prison Transport Van After Fatal Highway Crash!

Dominic was insane. The revelation of Alexander’s biological paternity, combined with two months of solitary confinement and total financial ruin, had completely destroyed his mind. He was a raving madman, fueled by a singular, psychotic delusion: he needed to return to the Vance Estate and reclaim "his" life.

Late on a rainy Tuesday night, Dominic scrambled over the high perimeter wall of the Vance Estate, drenched in mud, blood, and rain. He held a stolen iron crowbar, his eyes wild and bloodshot.

He forced open the side glass doors of the grand conservatory, breathing heavily as he crept into the dark, silent mansion.

"Audrey!" Dominic screamed into the darkness, his voice echoing off the vaulted ceilings. "I know you're here! You stole my life! You stole my company! You tricked me!"

The lights in the grand foyer suddenly snapped on, illuminating the magnificent room.

I stood at the top of the grand marble staircase, dressed in a breathtaking white gown. Beside me stood Alexander, calm and composed, holding a heavy tactical sidearm pointed directly at Dominic’s chest.

Dominic stumbled back, shaking the crowbar maniacally. "Look at you! Playing happy family with HIM! Those are MY twins! You're MY wife!"

"I was never your wife, Dominic," I said softly, looking down at him with pure pity. "You married a shadow you created in your own mind. You thought I was weak because I chose to be kind. But kindness isn't weakness... it's control."

Dozens of laser sights suddenly dotted Dominic’s chest as twenty heavily armed Vance security guards emerged from every shadow in the hall.

Dominic dropped the crowbar. The iron clattered loudly against the marble. He fell to his knees, sobbing uncontrollably, realizing that he had never possessed an ounce of power over me. He was just a pathetic bug who had tried to sting a lioness.
