CHAPTER 6 â The Real Will
Margaret confessed without tears.
Michael had not been kidnapped for ransom.
He had been removed because he wasnât Richardâs biological son.
Richardâs first wife had an affair.
When Margaret discovered it, she feared the scandal would destroy the family empire.
So she arranged the accident.
But Victor, greedy even as a young man, turned it into something worse.
He took money.
He paid people.
He made sure Michael disappeared forever.
Richard only discovered the truth decades later.
But instead of calling the police immediately...
He wrote the will as a trap.
Eleanor was never meant to keep everything.
She was meant to expose everyone.
Samuel, wounded but alive, returned with one final sealed document.
Richardâs real last instruction.
Eleanor opened it in front of the entire family.
âIf Michael returns with the truth, Eleanor Brooks shall transfer control of Whitmore Holdings to himâunless he chooses mercy.â
Michael looked at the relatives who had erased him.
Then at Eleanor, the only person Richard had trusted.
Finally, he said,
âI donât want revenge.â
Melissa began to cry with relief.
Michaelâs eyes turned cold.
âI want justice.â
Police officers stepped forward.
Margaret was arrested.
Victor was dragged out screaming.
And Eleanor thought the nightmare was over.
Until Samuel quietly handed her one last envelope.
Inside was a photo of RichardâŠ
standing beside a young womanâŠ
holding a newborn baby.
