Chapter 6 - The Tiger Awakens"Mr. Parker... what do we do?" Julian whispered, his face drained of all color. "If Vanguard is behind this, and we pull out of the merger now... our stock will plummet. The board will vote you out of the CEO chair by tomorrow afternoon. They'll ruin you."

Ethan didn't look at his assistant. He turned his gaze back toward the heavy wooden door of Trauma Room 3.
Inside that room lay the only woman who had ever truly loved him for who he was, before he traded his soul for a corporate ladder. And sitting just ten feet away was his daughter—a little girl who had spent the last five years hearing stories about a father who abandoned them, yet had instinctively run to the hospital for help.
Ethan reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and dialed a number that wasn't saved in his standard contacts. It was a secure, encrypted line connected directly to his personal legal fixer, a man named Viktor Vance (no relation to Marcus), who handled the dirty work corporate elites pretended didn't exist.
"Viktor," Ethan said, his voice cold, steady, and utterly devoid of mercy.
"Boss? Thought you were signing charity documents today," Viktor’s gravelly voice replied through the speaker.
"Cancel the charity event. Cancel the press conference. I want every single forensic auditor, private investigator, and cyber-security expert we have deployed within the next ten minutes."
"For what target?"
"Vanguard Global," Ethan said, his eyes locking onto the reflection of the operating room light gleaming in the glass. "I want every single financial record, offshore account, shell company, and incriminating email they possess pulled up by midnight. I want Marcus Vance stripped of his title, his assets, and his freedom before the sun comes up tomorrow."

Viktor let out a low whistle on the other end of the line. "That’s nuclear war, Ethan. Vanguard is a multi-billion-dollar titan. They'll fight back with everything they have."
"Let them," Ethan replied, a terrifying, razor-sharp smile cutting across his face. "I don't want their money anymore. I want their destruction."
