Chapter 9 - THE NEW DAWNThree months later.

The Grand Regent Hotel had undergone a complete physical and spiritual transformation. The dark, intimidating mahogany and velvet interior had been redesigned with bright, natural lighting, open spaces, and local art celebrating the city’s rich history.
The illegal mirror servers in the basement had been dismantled and replaced by a state-of-the-art community youth center funded entirely by the Vance Foundation.
Arthur Pendelton and Sterling were currently facing multiple federal indictments for conspiracy, wiretapping, and corporate manslaughter, securely locked away in a high-security federal penitentiary awaiting trial. Their syndicate had collapsed like a house of cards.
Ethan sat behind the expansive oak desk in the executive office on the twelfth floor—the very room where Sarah had once uncovered the truth.
The door opened softly, and Lupita walked in carrying a steaming cup of coffee and a fresh stack of daily operational reports. 🏨✨
"Morning, boss," Lupita said with a warm, confident smile, placing the coffee mug on the desk.
"Morning, Lupita," Ethan replied, signing the final document in the folder. "How are booking numbers looking for the autumn gala?"
"Record-breaking, Mr. Vance," she said proudly. "We’re fully booked for the next six months. And community feedback on the new youth center in the basement has been overwhelmingly positive."
Ethan smiled, looking out the panoramic window at the bustling city below. Vance Hospitality was stronger, cleaner, and more honorable than it had ever been.
His phone buzzed on the desk. He glanced down at the screen—a simple photo notification from his digital frame at home: a picture of him, Lily, and Sarah smiling together on a sunny beach years ago.

Ethan picked up the frame, tracing the edge of the glass with his thumb.
"We did it, Sarah," he whispered to the empty room. "We won."
