Chapter 13 - CROWNED IN BLOOD

Six months later, the Vulkoff estate looked entirely different.
The bullet holes in the mahogany walls had been repaired, the shattered windows replaced, and the manicured gardens restored to their pristine, intimidating glory. But the atmosphere inside had shifted from a fortress of isolation into an unshakeable dynasty.
Yuri Petrov was a distant memory—his syndicate dismantled, his assets absorbed, and his name erased from the underworld map.
Inside the master study, the morning sun poured through the tall windows, casting a warm golden glow across the heavy oak desk. Alina stood by the shelves, her fingers lightly brushing the leather-bound books. She no longer wore the black-and-white maid's uniform. Instead, she wore a tailored, midnight-blue silk dress that commanded the room just as effortlessly as Damon did.
The door opened softly, and heavy footsteps crossed the Persian rug. Strong, warm arms wrapped around her waist from behind, pulling her flush against a solid, familiar chest. Damon rested his chin on her shoulder, breathing in the scent of her hair.
"You're thinking too much again," he murmured, his deep voice vibrating against her back.
Alina leaned back into his embrace, turning her head to press a soft kiss to his jaw, right over the faint, healed scar from the night of the siege. "I was just thinking about the day I spilled the coffee."
A low, rumbling chuckle escaped Damon’s throat. He spun her around gently so she was facing him, his hands resting securely on her hips, his piercing grey eyes burning with an intense, unwavering devotion that belonged to her alone.
"Best accident of my life," he whispered, closing the distance and capturing her lips in a deep, possessive kiss that tasted of absolute victory.

Downstairs, the guards stood at their posts, and the house ran like clockwork. But upstairs, the monster of the Vulkoff empire had finally found his peace, crowned not by fear, but by the fierce, unbreakable love of the woman who had walked into the dark and dared to help him heal.
THE END.
