Chapter 16 - The Parley at the LighthouseDominic didn't wait in the shadows. He stood up slowly, stepping out from behind the stone wall into the pale moonlight, his hands raised slightly to show he was armed, but ready.

Director Vance turned around, smiling smoothly as he adjusted his cuffs. "Ah, Mr. Moretti. I must admit, I didn't expect you to arrive alone... or with such impressive punctuality. Where is the child?"
"Lily stays where she is safe," Dominic answered, his deep baritone cutting through the howling ocean wind. "Release Carlos, Vance. Your quarrel is with me, not my men."
Vance chuckled, signaling one of his mercenaries to press a tactical blade against Carlos’s throat. "You misunderstand your position, Dominic. You brought an empire built on blood and muscle to a war of global intelligence. You cannot defeat an ideology."
"Ideologies don't bleed," Dominic stepped forward, his eyes locked onto Vance with lethal intent. "Men do."
At that exact second, Bruno and the tactical enforcers broke cover from the cliffs behind the lighthouse, their suppressed rifles snapping in unison.
