Chapter 6 - THE GRAND FOYER SHOWDOWN

The marble echoes of the grand foyer rang out sharply as Victoria descended the sweeping staircase, her heels clicking in a rhythmic, triumphant march. Lily clung sleepily to her nurse, rubbing her eyes, unaware of the corporate war zone surrounding her.

"Going somewhere, Victoria?"

A cold, commanding voice echoed from the archway. Victoria froze on the third step down.

Arthur stood there, flanked by Marcus and three federal cyber-crime agents who had quietly breached the perimeter through the subterranean garage. His eyes were locked on Victoria with absolute, terrifying clarity.

Victoria’s face paled for a split second before she recovered her icy composure. She laughed breathlessly, stepping down further and pulling Lily closer to her side. "Arthur, darling. You really shouldn't have escaped your room. It’s over. Look around you—the federal authorities won't help you when my legal documents are airtight."

"Your documents are airtight?" Marcus stepped forward, flipping open the encrypted tablet and projecting a holographic ledger onto the foyer wall. "Let’s talk about wire fraud, identity falsification, and conspiring with an international corporate cartel to embezzle forty million dollars."

Victoria’s eyes widened as she stared at the glowing data stream detailing every single transaction she and her hidden accomplices had planned.
