CHAPTER 5 — “The Father Who Sold His Own Son”

The room fell silent.
Only the sound of dripping water echoed through the underground chamber.
Ethan stared at the man standing in the doorway.
The warden smiled as if he were greeting family after years apart.
"Yes... I'm your father."
The words hit harder than any punch Ethan had ever taken.
"You sold me."
"I invested in you," the warden corrected coldly.
He walked toward an old metal cabinet and pulled out dozens of classified files.
Every file carried Ethan's photograph.
Age 5.
Age 9.
Age 14.
Age 19.
"They trained you because I allowed them to."
"They turned you into the perfect weapon because I delivered you."
"You survived every mission... and made me richer than I ever imagined."
Ethan clenched his fists until blood ran down his fingers.
"You murdered innocent people."
"No," the warden laughed.
"I simply sold hope... to the highest bidder."
Then he pressed a hidden button beneath the desk.
The floor trembled.
Massive steel doors slid open.
From the darkness emerged twelve heavily armed mercenaries wearing black tactical armor.
Each helmet carried the same emblem.
GHOST UNIT.
The deadliest private military force in the world.
Their commander stepped forward...
Removed his helmet...
And Ethan's breathing stopped.
May you like
The man's face...
Was exactly like his own.
