CHAPTER 7 — “The Woman Everyone Feared”
The smoke slowly cleared.
The elderly woman stood alone in the middle of the ruined corridor, leaning on a polished silver cane. She wore a simple gray coat, but every mercenary instinctively lowered their rifles.
No one had given the order.
They simply recognized her.
The warden dropped to one knee.
"Mother..."
She looked at him with nothing but disgust.
"I told you twenty-five years ago," she said quietly. "Greed would bury this family."
The mercenaries exchanged nervous glances.
Even Subject Zero took a cautious step backward.
Ethan stared at the woman.
"Who are you?"
She slowly reached into her coat and pulled out a faded photograph.
It showed two newborn boys wrapped in blue blankets... and a young woman smiling beside them.
"You were born as twins," she whispered.
"Your mother was my daughter."
Ethan's heart pounded.
"The warden wasn't your father."
"He kidnapped both of you after arranging your mother's murder. He sold children to criminal organizations disguised as government research programs. You and your brother were his greatest profits."
Subject Zero lowered his head.
"I found out three years ago," he admitted. "That's why I never tried to kill you."
The warden suddenly burst into laughter.
"You still don't understand!"
He slammed his fist against the emergency control panel.
Every prison gate opened.
Hundreds of violent inmates flooded the corridors.
"If I'm going down..."
He grinned wildly.
"...everyone dies with me."
Within seconds, chaos consumed the prison.
Gunfire echoed from every direction.
Fires spread through the cell blocks.
The prison had become a battlefield.
But hidden beneath the alarms...
