🔥 CHAPTER 6: "THE FINAL TRAP"

Daniel's luxurious mansion was transformed into a fortress overnight.
Police vehicles surrounded the property.
Private security guards patrolled every entrance.
Snipers watched from nearby rooftops.
Inside...
Daniel's seventeen-year-old daughter, Emily, had no idea why everyone seemed so frightened.
"Dad..."
"What's going on?"
Daniel forced a smile.
"Just extra security."
She wasn't convinced.
"You've never lied very well."
Before he could answer...
Sofia entered the room.
She handed Daniel a folder.
"I've identified everyone involved."
Daniel opened it.
The conspiracy was larger than anyone had imagined.
Thirty-two people.
Corporate executives.
Hackers.
Lawyers.
Financial brokers.
Even two former intelligence officers.
But one name made Daniel's blood freeze.
Anthony Harrison.
His younger brother.
Daniel whispered,
"No..."
"That's impossible."
Anthony had been vice president of the company for fifteen years.
He had always appeared loyal.
He had supported Daniel through every crisis.
Sofia nodded sadly.
"He wasn't forced."
"He organized everything."
Daniel couldn't believe it.
"My own brother?"
She quietly placed another document on the table.
It contained years of hidden financial transfers.
Anthony had received more than $48 million through offshore companies.
Daniel sank into his chair.
Every betrayal suddenly made sense.
The confidential leaks.
The fake interpreter.
The manipulated contracts.
Anthony had been controlling everything from inside.
Just then...
Daniel's phone rang.
The caller ID displayed only one word:
UNKNOWN.
He answered.
A familiar voice laughed softly.
"Hello, brother."
Anthony.
"You should've signed that contract."
Daniel's voice became ice cold.
"Why?"
"You already have more money than you could spend in ten lifetimes."
Anthony chuckled.
"It stopped being about money years ago."
"It became about proving I was smarter than you."
Daniel clenched the phone.
"You threatened my daughter."
"I did."
"And unless you destroy every file Sofia recovered..."
"...you'll never see Emily again."
Daniel's entire body froze.
He slowly turned toward the staircase.
Emily...
Was gone.
Her bedroom window was open.
The security cameras had gone black exactly ninety seconds earlier.
One guard lay unconscious in the garden.
Another had been drugged.
Daniel screamed,
"EMILY!"
Only silence answered.
Anthony's laughter echoed through the phone.
"You have exactly twenty-four hours."
"Bring the evidence..."
"...or bury your daughter."
The call disconnected.
Daniel stood motionless, staring at the dark phone screen.
Sofia walked over, surprisingly calm.
She looked out the broken bedroom window, studying the tire tracks in the wet grass.
Then she noticed something almost invisible—a tiny silver charm from a bracelet snagged on the windowsill.
She picked it up and smiled faintly.
"They made one mistake."
Daniel looked at her desperately.
"What mistake?"
Sofia closed her hand around the charm.
"They think they're hunting us."
She looked toward the waiting police officers.
"They have no idea..."
May you like
"...that they just led us straight to their headquarters."
