Chapter 6 – The Locker That Changed Everything

Ignoring every warning, Ethan drove to the abandoned Union Station before sunrise.
Locker 217 still stood untouched after three decades.
His hands trembled as he inserted the brass key.
The rusty lock clicked open.
Inside was a small metal box.
No money.
No jewelry.
Only three items.
A VHS tape.
A leather notebook.
And a sealed envelope with Ethan's name written across the front.
He opened the envelope first.
Inside was a handwritten confession.
"If anything happens to me, Victor murdered your grandfather."
Ethan's heart pounded.
He pressed play on the old videotape using a repair shop's ancient VCR nearby.
The grainy recording showed a family meeting from thirty years earlier.
His grandfather sat at the head of the table.
Thomas stood beside him.
Then Victor entered the room...
Smiling.
Seconds later, the old man collapsed after drinking a glass of whiskey.
Everyone rushed to help.
Everyone except Victor.
He simply stood there...
Watching.
Smiling.
The recording ended with Victor looking directly into the hidden camera.
"I know you're recording this."
Then the screen went black.
At that exact moment...
A loud explosion shook the entire repair shop.
Glass shattered everywhere.
Ethan threw himself to the floor as flames swallowed the front entrance.
Someone had followed him.
May you like
And this time...
They weren't leaving any witnesses alive.
