The grand courtyard of the Vance-Thorne Private Estate was bathed in bright sunlight. White roses decorated the aisles, and the sound of a live symphony filled the warm air. It was the day of Marcus and Khloe’s vow renewal ceremony—a celebration not just of their love, but of their complete victory over every enemy who had sought to tear them apart.
In the front row, Arthur Vance cradled his healthy, three-month-old grand-nephew, Alexander Thorne, who slept peacefully wrapped in silk.
In the private bridal suite, Marcus walked in, looking striking in a midnight-blue tuxedo. He wrapped his arms around Khloe from behind as she looked into the mirror, breathtaking in an ivory lace gown.
“You know,” Marcus whispered, kissing her shoulder softly, “there’s still one secret you haven't told the world.”
Khloe smiled slyly through the mirror. “Oh? And what secret is that?”
Marcus chuckled softly. “Isabella thought she was playing chess with us. But three months before the attack, when you first suspected she was interfering with our business, you transferred $500 million of Rossi debt into your private holdings. You knew she would try something drastic.”
Khloe turned around in his arms, wrapping her hands around his neck. “I didn't bait her to attack me, Marcus. But when she showed her true nature, I used her vanity to destroy every hidden traitor inside your corporate board and my family’s network in one single move.”
“So my sweet, innocent wife was the ultimate mastermind all along?” Marcus smiled, his eyes burning with intense devotion.
