CHAPTER 3 – The Son Who Was Never Supposed to Inherit

Richard stared at the DNA report like it was a death sentence.
“That’s fake,” he whispered.
But Evelyn’s tears told the truth.
Henry Whitmore had raised Richard as his own son, loved him, protected him, and gave him the family name.
And Richard had repaid him by stealing from him.
The attorney opened the next page.
Henry’s final instruction was written clearly:
“Richard Whitmore is removed from all inheritance, all company shares, and all family authority.”
Richard’s wife screamed.
“You can’t do that! He’s your eldest son!”
Evelyn slowly turned to her.
“No. He was Henry’s greatest act of mercy.”
Then the vault lights flickered.
A hidden screen on the wall turned on by itself.
Henry’s face appeared.
Old. Weak. But terrifyingly calm.
“If Richard is watching this,” Henry said, “then my wife was brave enough to tell the truth.”
Richard backed away.
Henry continued.
“I knew you were not my blood. But I chose you anyway. I gave you my name. My home. My empire.”
His voice sharpened.
“But the moment you tried to destroy the woman who raised you… you stopped being my son.”
Everyone turned to Evelyn.
Richard’s face went white.
Because the stolen money wasn’t the worst crime.
Henry had discovered that Richard had been secretly paying doctors to make Evelyn look mentally unstable.
To remove her from the family trust.
To control her fortune.
To bury her alive inside her own mansion.
And Evelyn had known.

She had stayed silent for six months…
waiting for Henry’s final plan to begin.
