Chapter 25 - The Corporate SiegeThe sun had barely crested the jagged skyline of downtown Chicago when the financial markets opened for the day. At 9:00 AM sharp, an unprecedented wave of coordinated sell orders hit the stock exchange, targeting Shaw Enterprises’ primary logistics subsidiaries.

Inside the executive boardroom on the forty-fifth floor, the digital screens flashed crimson as stock prices plummeted in real-time.
The regional directors sat in stunned silence, whispering anxiously among themselves. "They're attempting a regulatory strangulation," one of the senior vice presidents stammered, his hands trembling over his keyboard. "If the SEC freezes our accounts by noon, our shipping contracts will be instantly voided, and our creditors will demand immediate liquidation!"
Aaron stood calmly at the head of the table, his fingers flying across his secure terminal. "It’s a multi-pronged assault. The forged filings originated from a shell corporation registered in the Cayman Islands—controlled by Julian Vance's European network."
The heavy oak doors of the boardroom swung open.
Declan walked in, his long coat draped over his arm, his face carved from absolute stone. He didn't look at the flashing red screens. He didn't look at the panicked directors. He walked straight to the head of the table, placed a sleek, encrypted flash drive beside Aaron’s laptop, and sat down.
"Activate Protocol Zero," Declan commanded quietly.
Aaron looked up, a sharp, dangerous smile touching his lips. He plugged the flash drive into the main console and hit a single keystroke.
Across the massive holographic display in the center of the room, the crimson flashing warning lights suddenly vanished, replaced by a brilliant, steady blue grid.
"What... what just happened?" the senior vice president gasped, staring at the screen in disbelief.
"Julian made a fundamental mistake," Aaron explained calmly, typing a rapid command string. "He used the exact same offshore routing servers that Vincent used four years ago when he tried to frame me. Our legal team didn't just trace the forged filings back to the Cayman Islands—we intercepted the master authorization keys signed by Julian himself."
On the screen, a series of freezing orders materialized over fifty international bank accounts simultaneously.
"Federal regulators don't need to investigate us," Declan said, his deep voice cutting through the silent room like a blade. "Because within the last sixty seconds, every single dollar of Julian’s coalition funds has been legally seized under international anti-terrorism and corruption statutes. Their accounts are empty. Their shell corporations have been dissolved. And their legal defense fund has just been transferred directly into the Shaw Foundation for District 4 community development."
A stunned, absolute silence filled the boardroom, followed instantly by a collective wave of awe. The directors realized they weren't just watching a business defense; they were witnessing an absolute, surgical execution of an enemy empire.
"Vance," Declan commanded, turning his head toward the captain standing near the door.

"Boss?"
"Send a team to the private airstrip in Vermont," Declan instructed coldly. "Julian Vance thought he could play kingmaker from the Mediterranean. Bring him to me. It’s time for a family reunion."
