Chapter 6 - A New Dawn in London

Six months later.
The spring rain washed over the cobblestone streets of Mayfair, London. Inside the grand glass atrium of the Hartwell Center, soft classical music played as hundreds of international tech executives, investors, and press members gathered for the annual European Tech Innovation Summit.
At the center of the main stage stood Lena Hartwell.
She looked radiant in a sharp, ivory tailored suit, her demeanor radiating power, grace, and total composure. On the screen behind her was the logo for Hartwell Dynamics, a newly launched global AI firm that had taken the European tech market by storm in less than half a year.
The crowd erupted into resounding applause as Lena finished her keynote speech.
In the front row sat her father, Sir Arthur Hartwell, a distinguished gentleman with silver hair and a proud smile, holding the hands of Maya and Lily. Both girls were dressed impeccably, smiling brightly as they watched their mother take center stage.
"She’s brilliant, isn't she, girls?" Sir Arthur whispered to his granddaughters.
"Mommy is the smartest person in the world," Maya declared proudly.
Off to the side of the stage, Lena stepped down into the executive VIP lounge, where top investors stepped forward to congratulate her. Among them was an American tech analyst who had traveled from New York.
"Miss Hartwell," the analyst said, shaking her hand warmly. "Sensational presentation. By the way... I don't know if you've been following the news back in the States, but Hale Enterprises officially filed for Chapter 7 liquidation last week. Preston Hale lost his home, his assets, and his board stripped him of his title."
Lena took a sip of her sparkling water, her expression unbothered and serene.
"Is that so?" she replied smoothly.

"He tried to contest the patent transfers," the analyst continued, "but the courts threw it out completely. The man is broke, working as a junior consultant just to pay off his legal debts. His mother tried to contact your legal team in New York last week, begging for a settlement."
"My legal team knows how to handle trespassers," Lena said softly, without a trace of malice or joy. "Preston Hale made his choices. I made mine."
