Chapter 19 - The Final ConfrontationWith his tactical flank destroyed and his mercenaries neutralized, Lorenzo Rizzi found himself completely abandoned.

He stumbled through the shattered French doors into the grand library of the Westchester estate, clutching a bleeding wound in his side, his expensive suit ruined by mud, blood, and rain.
He raised his pistol, panting heavily as he waited in the dim, strobe-lit shadows.
Heavy footsteps approached the library doors.
The oak doors swung open, and Dominic Moretti stepped into the room. He wasn't wearing a tactical vest or a formal suit jacket; he wore a simple black sweater, his expression utterly devoid of mercy.
“End of the line, Lorenzo,” Dominic’s voice cut through the silence like a razor blade.
Lorenzo laughed hysterically, coughing up blood as he aimed his shaking pistol at Dominic’s chest. “You think you’ve won, Dominic?! You think killing me changes anything?! As long as you have that kid, as long as you care about a family, you will always have targets on your backs! You’ll never be free!”
Dominic didn't flinch. He didn't raise his voice. He took one slow, deliberate step forward, his gray-green eyes locking onto Lorenzo’s terrified pupils.
“You talk about love like it’s a weakness, Lorenzo,” Dominic said, his voice cold, steady, and terrifyingly calm. “That’s why you’ve already lost. Love isn't a target—it’s armor. And it’s the exact reason monsters like you will never win.”
Bang.
A single, precise gunshot echoed through the grand library.
