Chapter 19 - A NEW DAWN AT BENNETT ESTATE

Six months later, the spring sun washed over the sprawling emerald lawns of the restored Bennett Estate in Chestnut Hill.
The grand house, once shadowed by decades of isolation and corporate coldness, echoed with the sound of laughter and little running feet.
Emily, now with a healthy flush in her cheeks and soft brown curls framing her face, chased a golden retriever across the grass, holding a brand-new stuffed rabbit with two good eyes.
On the wide veranda, Sarah sat comfortably on a white wicker swing, a sketch pad open in her lap, her smile bright and completely unburdened.
Maxwell walked out of the French doors carrying a tray of fresh lemonade, setting it on the glass table before sitting down beside her. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close.
Suddenly, a small, energetic blur skidded to a halt in front of them.
Emily looked up at Maxwell with those familiar, brilliant green eyes, holding out a freshly picked yellow daisy with a serious, grown-up expression.
“Here you go, Dad,” Emily said proudly, using the word like a badge of honor.
Maxwell smiled, taking the fragile flower and gently tucking it behind her ear before scooping her up into his lap, kissing her cheek.
“Thank you, my little engineer,” Maxwell laughed softly. “What’s the payment for this one?”
Emily giggled, wrapping her small arms around his neck. “A trip to the ice cream truck, and you have to read me three chapters of my book tonight!”

“Deal,” Maxwell said, looking over at Sarah, whose eyes shone with deep, enduring love.
The past was buried, the lies were shattered, and the family they had fought so hard to save was finally whole.
