Chapter 19 - THE UNBROKEN LINEBack at corporate headquarters, the afternoon board meeting was already underway in the executive suite.

Seated around the large mahogany conference table were the newly appointed directors—vetted defense experts, cyber-security specialists, and veteran advocates appointed directly through the Department of Defense oversight panel.

The atmosphere in the room wasn't filled with the cutthroat corporate greed that had poisoned Titan Tactical under Elaine and Curtis’s watch. It was filled with purpose, discipline, and absolute integrity.

“The federal contracts have been fully re-certified,” the lead financial auditor reported, sliding a clean balance sheet across the table. “All offshore accounts have been successfully repatriated, and our R&D division is cleared to proceed with next-generation defense tech.”

I looked around the table at the faces of men and women who understood what honor truly meant.

“Make sure our first major grant goes directly to the Wounded Warrior Foundation,” I instructed calmly. “And prioritize hiring veterans for every operational security role across our domestic and international facilities.”

“Consider it done, Ms. Wright,” the operations director replied with a respectful nod.

For the first time in twelve years, the heavy weight that had rested across my shoulders since the day I crawled out of that burning aircraft in Kandar finally began to lift.

I wasn't hiding anymore. I wasn't running from classified stamps or corrupt family members.

I was standing right where I belonged.
