Chapter 20 - THE ETERNAL WATCHNight fell swiftly over the capital, casting a blanket of deep indigo and glittering city lights across the skyline.

Inside the top-floor executive office of Titan Tactical Systems, the desk lamp cast a warm, steady glow across the polished oak wood.

I sat in my father’s leather chair, looking at a framed photograph on the desk—a faded, creased picture of my father smiling beside me in uniform, taken the day before I shipped out for my first deployment overseas.

My phone rested silently beside it. No more threatening calls from my mother. No more fraudulent injunctions from corrupt politicians. No more hiding behind sealed records and forged accusations.

The courtroom doors had finally closed for good.

Colonel Carney appeared in the doorway, giving a quiet knock before stepping inside with a final operational briefing folder.

“All perimeter systems are secure, Captain,” Carney said, a faint, respectful smile touching his lips. “The night shift is locked in. The company belongs to us now.”

I closed the folder, leaning back in the chair as I looked out the massive glass window toward the bright, unyielding stars overhead.
