Chapter 20 - The Unwritten Page

Three months after the broadcast shook the global markets, I sat at my desk looking at a clean, unlined piece of paper. Stephen was locked away in a maximum-security prison where his threats couldn't reach me, Karen was fading into institutional obscurity, and the corporate empire my mother had died for was finally secure in my hands.

My office door opened softly, and Dante stepped in, holding two tickets to a destination neither of us had mentioned aloud yet.

"Pack a bag," he said quietly. "We have a meeting in London, and after that, nowhere to be."

I placed my pen down, locked the digital ledger, and stood up without a single backward glance. The past had been unearthed, examined, and buried where it belonged. The future, for the first time in my life, was entirely unwritten—and it belonged to us.
