Chapter 12 - Shadows of the Penthouse

The penthouse at Columbus Circle was empty, stripped of its gleaming art pieces and high-end furniture by court-ordered asset liquidation. Only the echoes remained. Sienna Blake stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the autumn rain streak down the glass. The luxury loft she had shared glimpses of on Instagram was gone; the credit cards were blocked, the luxury cars impounded, and her name dragged through every financial blog in Manhattan.
Her phone buzzed against the marble floor. A text from an unknown number: Your lease on the Tribeca condo is terminated. Eviction notice served.

Sienna panicked, dialing Harrison’s private counsel. The line went straight to a disconnected tone. She was alone. The billionaire she had attached herself to for status and security was locked behind maximum-security glass, and she was left holding nothing but the wreckage of a calculated game that had backfired entirely.
She packed her designer bags into the back of a rented sedan, her high heels clicking frantically against the empty lobby floor. As she drove away from the tower, she looked up one last time at the darkened windows, realizing too late that riding someone else’s stolen coattails always ended in free fall.
