In a quiet corner of the financial district, inside a high-rise office overlooking the northern docks, a group of minor investors nervously reviewed the morning papers.

"Did you hear about the Castillion restructuring?" one whispered nervously. "They audited every single account down to the last penny. If anyone tries even a fraction of what Marlowe attempted, they're finished before they even start."

"Clara Bennett," the first replied, shaking his head in disbelief. "They say she walked into the lion's den with a broken wrist and walked out owning the key to the kingdom. You don't cross the Castillions anymore. And you certainly don't underestimate their maids."
