It seemed my sister had attempted to lock down her international shipping heir by forging marital status documents, only to find out that European corporate law was significantly less forgiving than American civil courts. Her Swiss bank accounts had been frozen pending an international fraud investigation.
Maya walked into my office holding the preliminary dossier with a raised eyebrow.
“Should we take the case, boss?” Maya asked with a smirk. “Looks like your sister is trying to pull the exact same playbook in Europe.”

“Pass it to the junior litigation team,” I said calmly. “Let them handle it. I don't audit small-time con artists anymore. I build empires.”
