Chapter 6 - THE EXCHANGEThe nurse’s face drained of color. She backed toward the door.
"I... I need to check the nursery logs."
Caleb grabbed her arm. "You check them now."
Ten minutes later, the head of pediatrics walked into our room, followed by two security guards. The atmosphere was no longer suspicious; it was panicked.
"Mr. and Mrs. Callahan," the doctor said, his hands shaking. "There has been... an administrative error."
"An error?" Caleb asked, his voice low.
