Chapter 13 - The Siege of the Sky SpireThe climb up the winding, storm-lashed steps of the Aethelgard Spire was a grueling trial of endurance. Queen Elina led the vanguard, her body radiating a warm, protective starlight that cut through the freezing gales and thick, violet fog shrouding the mountain peak. Behind her marched Prince Richard and an elite company of Oakhaven’s bravest knights, their weapons infused with the residual energy of the obsidian vanguard.

As they reached the summit platform, the sky above them tore open in a deafening shriek of wind and thunder.
A colossal armada of silver-and-obsidian vessels descended from the violet rift, flanked by towering celestial entities radiating pure, blinding energy. At the vanguard of the fleet stood a towering figure draped in shimmering starlight armor—the celestial matriarch of the Sky-Wept Reach, her face a stern, beautiful visage of cold perfection.
“Vessel of the Void,” the matriarch’s voice echoed across the mountain peaks, carrying the force of a hurricane. “You have abandoned your post and exposed our realm to mortal contamination. Surrender your crown, and return to the cosmos where you belong!”
Elina stepped to the edge of the precipice, the tiny galaxies within her head spinning into a furious, brilliant supernova. She did not shrink back; she stood tall, a queen of two worlds.

“I am no longer just a vessel,” Elina’s voice rang out, clear and unyielding, cutting through the cosmic storm. “I am the heart of Oakhaven, and my place is here!”
With a sweeping gesture of her hands, the entire Aethelgard Spire erupted into a blinding pillar of golden-white energy that met the descending fleet head-on, triggering a cataclysmic clash of wills that would decide the fate of the world once and for all.
