Chapter 16 - Reclaiming the Foundation

With the archives secured and the criminal investigations officially closed, the government handed full physical possession of the historic Georgetown property over to me. Rather than selling the cursed monument to wealth and cruelty, I partnered with a national nonprofit coalition to transform the sprawling estate into the "Vance Center for Financial Justice and Survivor Support"—a fully funded sanctuary providing legal aid, housing assistance, and forensic financial counseling to victims of domestic abuse and corporate fraud.

On a bright spring morning, the heavy iron gates that had once locked me out were thrown wide open to the public. As I cut the ceremonial red ribbon alongside former victims who had successfully reclaimed their lives, the oppressive shadow that had haunted the property for decades finally lifted into the sunlight.
