Chapter 10 - The Unseen Queen

Ten years later.

The boardroom of the Moretti Global Syndicate in Milan was bathed in the cool light of digital monitors displaying global shipping logistics across four continents. Around the long mahogany table sat the most feared capos and syndicate leaders in Europe, men who commanded armies and controlled governments.

At the head of the table sat Rocco Moretti, now fifty-eight, his hair frosted with silver, his eyes sharper than ever.

To his right sat a young woman of eighteen, wearing a sharp, tailored obsidian suit. Her dark hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail, her expression an absolute mask of absolute control. On her right index finger rested the heavy platinum Moretti signet ring.

"The Savino remnants in Sicily have attempted to reorganize," a senior capo reported, his voice tight with tension. "They are threatening our port access in Palermo."

The room fell silent, all eyes turning toward Rocco. But Rocco didn't speak. He looked toward the young woman beside him.

Sophia Bellini leaned forward, resting her hands flat on the mahogany table. Her gaze swept across the powerful syndicate leaders, holding every man in the room under her absolute spell.

"They aren't reorganizing," Sophia said, her voice smooth, quiet, and chillingly authoritative. "They’re liquidating their assets. I intercepted their offshore accounts at midnight. Their primary liquidity is frozen, and their leadership will surrender their remaining docks to us by noon, or their families will find out who actually sold them out to Interpol."

The capo stared at her in stunned silence, realizing with a cold jolt of terror that the rumors were true. The little girl from the kitchen trash bin hadn't just survived the Moretti war; she had inherited the throne of shadows.

Rocco caught Sophia’s eye and gave a subtle, approving nod.
