Chapter 14 - The Return of the Outcast

Deep in the Swiss Alps, inside a high-security chalet overlooking Lake Geneva, a young man of eighteen stared at a wall of surveillance monitors tracking Sophia Bellini’s movements in Palermo. He had Valentina’s sharp, calculating eyes and the ruthless ambition of Uncle Marco.
His name was Julian, secretly smuggled out of the Moretti estate the night Sophia found the newborn in the kitchen trash. He had grown up believing Rocco Moretti was a monster who murdered his mother and cast him into the cold.
"She thinks she won," Julian whispered, swirling a glass of amber scotch. "She thinks the throne belongs to a maid's daughter."
