Chapter 29 - The Unbroken Circle

The afternoon sun poured through the stained-glass windows of the estate's chapel, casting brilliant shafts of ruby, gold, and sapphire light across the stone floor.
We walked back out into the sunlit gardens, where hundreds of children were laughing and playing games, their voices echoing like bright chimes against the ancient colonial walls.
The old house no longer belonged to the Rivas dynasty of pride and ruin. It belonged to the future. It belonged to everyone who had ever been told they were common, unimportant, or unworthy of a seat at the table.
Andrés wrapped his arm around my shoulders, drawing me close as we watched Sofia lead a group of children across the green lawn toward a long wooden table covered in bright, cheerful Easter eggs.

“Are you ready for dinner?” Andrés asked with a gentle smile.
“Always,” I replied, looking out over the sunlit estate where our true life had finally begun. “And this time, everyone has a seat at the table.”
