Chapter 19 - Sunrise Over the EstateSix months later, the grounds of the Vance estate looked more breathtaking than ever. The morning sun washed the manicured lawns in a golden, ethereal glow, reflecting off the crystal-clear waters of the restored courtyard fountain.

Inside the grand dining room, a joyful breakfast was underway. Lily, now happier and more vibrant than ever, was excitedly chattering about her upcoming school art project while Evelyn poured fresh coffee into Daniel’s cup.
The federal trials had concluded swiftly. Julian Vance and Vanessa were sentenced to consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole in maximum-security federal penitentiaries. The corporate corruption scandal had been thoroughly cleansed, and Vanguard Technologies emerged stronger, cleaner, and more ethical than at any point in its history.
Daniel set his coffee cup down, looking across the table at his wife. The shadows of the past five years had completely vanished from her eyes, replaced by a radiant, unshakeable strength.
"Penny for your thoughts, Mr. CEO," Evelyn smiled softly, reaching across the table to entwine her fingers with his.
Daniel smiled, squeezing her hand tightly. "I was just thinking about that wall in the storage room."
Evelyn chuckled, shaking her head. "You mean the one Lily tore down?"
"That's the one," Daniel nodded, his eyes warm. "Sometimes I look back and realize that the most terrifying moments of our lives—the darkness, the secrets, the betrayal—were actually the things that forced us to break down the walls we didn't even know were trapping us."
Evelyn leaned forward, resting her chin in her hand. "And what do we have now?"

"A foundation built on truth," Daniel said softly. "And a future that nothing can ever lock away again."
