Chapter 10 - Blood and Redemption

The heavy oak door of the ground-floor study crashes open. Viktor steps through the threshold, his assault rifle raised, scanning the shadows.

“You think you’re a king, Luciano? You’re just a boy playing with dead men’s toys,” Viktor sneers, stepping toward the mahogany desk.

“Toys run in the family, Viktor,” Luciano’s voice rings out from the darkness beside the massive stone fireplace.

Before Viktor can swing his barrel around, Luciano fires. The single, deafening crack of the rifle echoes through the study. Viktor stumbles backward, dropping his weapon, and collapses against the bookshelf, sliding down into a heap of leather-bound volumes.

As Viktor gasps for his final breath, the heavy steel door of the study opens again. Marco steps in, followed closely by local federal authorities carrying federal warrants for Viktor’s entire syndicate network—warrants triggered by the automated data dump Luciano uploaded the moment the lockbox was opened.

Dawn breaks over the snowy estate, painting the sky in brilliant shades of gold and bruised purple.

Up in the nursery, the morning sun streams through the frosted glass. Theo sits on the floor, holding the old wooden train with the carved Venturi initials. Felix sits beside him, gently helping him connect the tracks.

Luciano walks quietly into the room, his clothes stained with soot and smoke, but his posture straight and unyielding. He kneels down beside his two boys, pulling them both into a strong, protective embrace.

The storm has finally cleared, and the Venturi name stands stronger than ever, forged in fire, blood, and absolute truth.
