Chapter 20 - The Final ChapterYears later, the legend of the silent billionaire and the nurse who woke him faded into urban myth across the streets of Boston.

Some said it was a medical miracle. Some said it was a corporate fairy tale.

None of them knew the truth.

They didn't know about the eighty-nine days in the dark, the whispers beside a hospital bed, or the rainy night when a single word changed the course of an empire.

Tonight, sitting in the warm study of our home overlooking the harbor, I watched Dominic through the open doorway. He was reading a bedtime story to our daughter, his deep, commanding voice softened into a gentle, rhythmic cadence that wrapped around the room like a warm blanket.

I leaned against the doorframe, a cup of tea in my hand, smiling as I watched him.

He looked up, caught my eye across the room, and flashed that familiar, dangerous, utterly captivating smile—the smile of a man who owned the world, yet knew exactly where his heart belonged.

Dominic excused himself from the bedside, walked across the room, and pulled me gently into his arms, pressing his lips to mine.

“What are you smiling at?” he whispered against my lips.

“Just thinking,” I murmured, looking up into his dark, unwavering eyes, “that we finally reached the best chapter.”

Dominic tightened his arms around me, burying his face in my hair, and whispered the only words that mattered:

“We’re just getting started.”
