Chapter 15 - The Puget Sound Ambush Headline: "They Cut the Power to Her Mansion and Trapped Her inside—Until Noah Unleashed His Real Power!"

Victor Vance knew he was facing absolute liquidation. Driven by the primal rage of a ruined billionaire, he decided that if he was going down, he would take the Sterling bloodline with him.

It was a stormy Tuesday night at the Whitaker Estate. The wind howled against the sea cliffs, rain battering the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Suddenly, the lights across the entire seventy-acre compound flickered and died. The hum of the backup generators failed to kick in.

"Emma! Stay in the nursery!" Noah’s voice rang out from the hallway.

I held Maya tightly against my chest inside the safe-room nursery, my heart pounding. Outside, the sound of glass shattering echoed from the main conservatory, followed by the muffled thuds of silenced gunfire.

Victor Vance had hired six heavy mercenaries from an international PMC, using the last of his untraceable cash to execute a midnight hit on the estate.

In the dark hallway, three mercenaries armed with automatic rifles moved silently toward the master suite. But they weren't walking into a house of victims—they were walking into Noah Whitaker’s kill zone.

From the shadows of the ceiling rafters, Noah dropped like a phantom. In three lightning-fast moves, he disarmed the lead operative, crushed his throat, and used his body as a shield against a hail of gunfire from the second guard.

The hallway erupted in chaos. But Noah was a force of nature. Moving with lethal, military precision, he neutralized all three guards in under forty seconds, the silence returning to the corridor as fast as it had broken.

Downstairs in the main foyer, Victor Vance himself stood trembling, holding a revolver, surrounded by his final bodyguard.

"Where is she?!" Victor yelled into the darkness. "Where is Arthur Sterling’s bastard daughter?!"

"She's right here, Victor."

The voice came from the grand staircase. The emergency lights clicked on, casting a blood-red glow over the marble entrance.

I walked down the stairs, carrying a sleek 9mm pistol—a weapon Noah had taught me to use months ago—pointed directly at Victor's chest. Standing beside me, covered in dark shadows with blood spattered across his knuckles, was Noah.

Victor’s bodyguard dropped his gun instantly, raising his hands in absolute surrender. He knew who Noah Whitaker was.

Victor turned his revolver toward me, his hands shaking violently. "You ruined my family, girl!"

BANG.

A single shot echoed through the foyer.

Victor gasped, dropping his gun as a bullet pierced his shoulder, sending him spinning to the floor. I lowered my weapon, the barrel smoking slightly.

"I didn't ruin your family, Victor," I said, stepping over his bleeding form. "Your family was rotten to the core. I just chopped down the tree."
