Chapter 15 - THE REUNION OF THE TWINS

Back at the Westchester estate, the sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant shades of gold and amber.
Sophia was still asleep in her bedroom when the heavy oak doors opened and heavy, comforting footsteps echoed up the grand staircase.
Robert carried Leo into the nursery, followed closely by Harrison and a private medical team. The little boy was wrapped in a warm cashmere blanket, still clutching his blue security blanket, looking around the palatial room with wide, astonished eyes.
"Is this... is this heaven?" Leo whispered, his voice small and sweet.
"It's better than heaven, buddy," Harrison smiled warmly, resting a hand on the boy's shoulder. "It's your family."
At that moment, the door to the adjoining room clicked open.
Sophia walked out rubbing her eyes, wearing her favorite yellow pajamas, her hair a little messy from sleep. She stopped dead in her tracks near the doorway, staring at the man holding a little boy who looked almost exactly like her in the mirror.
Leo stared back.
For three long seconds, absolute silence filled the room. Neither child moved.
Then Sophia’s eyes widened, a brilliant, radiant smile breaking across her face.
"You have eyes like mine," Sophia whispered, running across the hardwood floor and stopping right in front of Robert and Leo.
Leo slowly lowered his blue blanket, looking at the little girl standing before him. "Are you... are you my sister?"
"Yes!" Sophia cheered, throwing her arms around his neck and nearly knocking Robert over in the process.

Leo hugged her back fiercely, burying his face in her shoulder as giggles bubbled up between them.
Robert and Harrison stood side by side, watching the twins embrace in the morning sunlight. The ghosts of the past, the corporate betrayals, the dark archives of the dynasties—all of it faded away into nothingness.
