Chapter 16 - THE NEW FOUNDATION

Three months later, the formal dissolution of the old Sterling-Morgan corporate proxy rings was finalized in a federal courtroom in Manhattan. Every single cent recovered from Victoria Vance’s frozen offshore accounts, Arthur Sterling’s illicit land trusts, and Judge Miller’s trafficking network was legally transferred into a newly established global entity: The Marina & Helen Foundation, dedicated to locating, rehabilitating, and protecting displaced children worldwide.
The Westchester estate had officially transformed into a sanctuary.
On a warm Saturday afternoon, the sprawling green lawns were filled with laughter. Benjamin Parker was teaching Leo how to kick a soccer ball across the grass, while Madison, Chloe, and Zoe chased after them with squeals of delight.
Sophia sat on the wooden porch beside Robert, carefully dividing a fresh loaf of homemade bread into two equal halves.
She held out the larger piece toward her grandfather.
"Here you go, Grandpa," Sophia said cheerfully. "Just in case your tummy hurts."
Robert took the bread, a deep, genuine smile touching his lips—a smile he hadn't felt capable of sharing the day Marina passed away on Fifth Avenue. He took a bite, looking out across the lawn at his family.
Harrison walked up the steps, handing Robert a cup of coffee while wrapping an arm around Sarah, who leaned against him with a peaceful, radiant expression.
"You know," Harrison murmured, watching the children play under the weeping willows, "it's amazing how much can change because a little boy in Detroit and a little girl in Manhattan decided to offer a stranger their bread."

Robert nodded slowly, looking down at the piece of bread in his hand.
"Some people spend their whole lives building empires out of stone and steel," Robert said softly, his eyes shining with profound peace. "And they end up with nothing. But love... love always finds its way back home."
