Chapter 1 - The Tiny Detail That Changed EverythingThe air in the crowded terminal felt thick, heavy with the noise of rolling luggage and chatter, but around us, time seemed to freeze. Daniel stood there, wrapped in his glossy fantasy of a glamorous new life,

"I want a divorce," he repeated, raising his voice so the onlookers could hear, eager to play the victim of an unhappy marriage. "And sign the house over. It’s only fair."
The woman beside him—whose manicured red nails were still hooked into his arm—smirked, looking down at our three tiny baby girls in their matching strollers as if they were stray cats.

"Not at all, Daniel," I said, my voice cutting through the terminal noise like glass. I slowly lowered the homemade cardboard sign, Welcome Home, Daddy, and pointed a steady finger directly at his wrist.
"You missed one tiny detail, darling. You were so busy playing the billionaire playboy on social media for four months that you forgot who actually owns the company that awarded you this trip."
Daniel’s golden-tan face suddenly turned the color of paste. His eyes darted down to his left wrist—to the heavy, diamond-encrusted luxury watch glistening in the airport lights.
The watch his CEO, the notoriously ruthless billionaire chairman Arthur Vance, had personally handed out as a reward to loyal family men who embodied company values.

"Let’s find out," I whispered, pulling my phone from my pocket. "Shall we call your boss, or should I let him know right now that his prize stallion has been parading his mistress around on company time?"
