Chapter 19 - The Milestone CelebrationFive years had passed since that fateful morning at the airport arrivals terminal.

The suburban estate was bathed in the warm, golden glow of a late afternoon sun. Balloons, banners, and the sweet scent of a massive chocolate birthday cake filled the backyard.
Our three triplet daughters—now energetic, bright, and fiercely independent five-year-olds—were running around the lawn with their cousin Leo, playing tag and laughing hysterically.
Chloe and I stood by the patio table, clinking our glasses of sparkling cider together in a silent toast to survival, growth, and unconditional sisterhood.
My father, Arthur Vance, walked over, wearing a soft smile and a comfortable linen shirt. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders, kissing the top of my head.
"I am so proud of you, sweetheart," my dad said softly, watching the children play. "You took the worst betrayal imaginable and turned it into a sanctuary for thousands of people who needed hope."
"I had great teachers, Dad," I replied, leaning into his embrace. "And an incredible legal team."

Chloe laughed, raising her glass toward us. "To never settling for less than we deserve, and always remembering to check the details!"
The entire backyard echoed with our laughter, a sound pure, unburdened, and entirely free of ghosts from the past.
