When Ryan’s defense team was presented with the unedited 4K video of the push, the audio of the cover-up, the financial fraud documents, and the airtight arson charges against Vanessa, they advised him to plead guilty to avoid a maximum-security prison sentence.

Ryan tried to call me fifty times a day from the county jail. I blocked his number within the first hour.

Vanessa was being held without bail, facing charges of attempted manslaughter, aggravated assault, and first-degree arson. Her lawyer had already abandoned her, realizing there was no defending a criminal who recorded her own crime on a smart-home security system.
