Chapter 12 - The Secret in Cell 4Deep beneath the west wing, the air was damp and smelled of stagnant water and cold concrete. Dominic Russo marched down the corridor, his boots echoing rhythmically, flanked by two heavily armed guards. He stopped outside Cell 4.

Behind the thick, bulletproof plexiglass, Salvatore Rizzi sat cross-legged on a steel cot. His silver-streaked hair was unkempt, his eyes bloodshot and gleaming with a feverish, manic brilliance.
“Save the security theater, Dominic,” Salvatore rasped, standing up and pressing his palms against the glass. “You’re too late. The Zurich protocol is already running. Every single dirty account, every offshore bribe, and every illicit shipping manifest from the last three decades is set to auto-dump to the federal task force at midnight.”
Dominic’s expression didn't flicker, but his hand instinctively tightened on his sidearm holster. “You’re bluffing, Sal. Adrian wiped your external drives months ago.”
“Did he?” Salvatore laughed, a harsh, grating sound that bounced off the stone walls. “Adrian is blinded by playing house with his little maid and her kid. He forgot the golden rule of the syndicate: a smart snake always sheds a skin before the winter.”
Without a word, Dominic unclipped his encrypted radio, switched it to a secure frequency, and spoke in a cold, measured tone. “Boss. We have a confirmed leak from Cell 4. Sal says the Zurich dump is scheduled for midnight.”

A heavy silence crackled over the radio static before Adrian’s voice sliced through the channel.
“Move him to the deep isolation block. And prep my car. I’m going to Zurich.”
