Chapter 13 - The Midnight FlightThe private Gulfstream jet cut through the turbulent night skies over the Atlantic, its cabin bathed in the dim, amber glow of emergency instrument lights.

Adrian sat at the mahogany conference table inside the jet, staring at a decrypted schematics map of the Zurich data-storage facility. The facility was owned by a front corporation tied directly to the late Marcus Vance—meaning Sal’s backup server was physically protected by Swiss biometric vaults and heavily armed local security.
Across the aisle, Dominic finished locking a heavy tactical rifle case. “We’ll touch down at a private airstrip outside Zurich in forty minutes, Boss. Local contacts say the federal task force has already caught wind of an anonymous tip regarding the data dump. They’re moving in to raid the facility at 1:00 AM.”
“Which means we have a thirty-minute window to crack the mainframe and wipe the drives before the feds lock down the perimeter,” Adrian said, his voice flat and unyielding.

He pulled out his phone, staring at a small digital photo of Elena and Mia smiling in the Westchester garden before he boarded. The crushing weight of what was at stake settled over him. If he failed, the syndicate’s collapse would drag Elena and her daughter down into the crossfire, destroying everything he had fought to build.
“If anyone tries to stop us,” Adrian murmured, sliding his Beretta into his shoulder holster, “you don't negotiate. You open the door.”
