When the final gavel fell, Margaret Hamilton was sentenced to consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole, ensuring she would spend the remainder of her days in maximum-security isolation. The remaining assets of the corrupted Hamilton trust were officially dissolved and redirected entirely into public welfare funds, educational grants, and the expansion of the Miller-Hamilton Center for Justice.
Back at the estate, the transition was complete. The heavy iron gates remained open during the day, welcoming community members, legal interns, and families seeking aid. The dark history of the mansion had been thoroughly purged, replaced by sunlight, music, and the bright, uninhibited laughter of Idan playing in the gardens.
One quiet Sunday evening, Clara and Adam sat on the back patio watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant shades of amber and violet.
"It's finally over," Adam murmured, wrapping a protective arm around Clara's shoulders. "The ghosts are gone."
"They aren't ghosts anymore, Adam," Clara corrected softly, resting her head against his chest. "They're lessons. They remind us of how fragile truth is, and how important it is to protect it."
