Chapter 17 - The Zurich Connection

The realization hit me like a physical blow. The syndicate wasn't just a domestic political conspiracy; it was a global financial hydra with its head buried deep in the Swiss banking elite.

"If Alistair still thinks Arthur is dead, and thinks Victor and Erickson are simply taking the fall for a local corporate dispute," I said slowly, "then he has no idea we know his name."

"What are you going to do?" Clara asked, her eyes searching my face with a mixture of fear and fierce hope.

"We don't wait for him to make the next move," I replied, standing up and buttoning my suit jacket. "We cut off the hydra's head on its own soil. Pack a bag, Clara. We're going to Zurich."

Twelve hours later, my private jet sliced through the clouds over the Swiss Alps, descending toward Zurich International Airport.

We didn't travel as corporate executives or political dignitaries. We traveled as ghosts. Alongside Clara and myself, a specialized security detail led by my most trusted veteran operatives boarded the aircraft, carrying encrypted comms and tactical gear stored in diplomatic transit cases.

Our destination was the Vance Financial Tower—a monolith of dark glass and polished granite rising sharply above the shores of Lake Zurich.

Alistair Vance thought he was untouchable behind Swiss banking secrecy laws and an army of private security. He didn't know that the Boss had crossed an ocean not just to settle an old score, but to finish a war.
