Chapter 8 - The Fall of the Heir"Caleb Kesler," Beatrice said, standing up slowly from her chair, her presence commanding the entire room without a single raised voice. "As founder and majority voting shareholder of Silver Pine Foods, I hereby strip you of your executive board seat, your corporate officer title, and your position as designated successor."

"Grandmother—you can't do this!" Caleb choked out, stumbling backward against the mahogany credenza, his carefully constructed corporate armor shattering into a million pieces. "I built the modern logistics pipeline! Without me, the stock price will—"

"Without you," Beatrice interrupted, her voice slicing through his panic like a guillotine, "this company might have killed fifty innocent citizens in a preventable industrial disaster. Arthur, have corporate security escort Mr. Kesler off the premises. And notify the federal district attorney’s office that our legal counsel is ready to hand over the complete financial fraud and forgery indictment files."

Two burly security guards in dark suits stepped into the boardroom, moving with quiet, unstoppable authority. They grabbed Caleb by both arms. He didn't fight back; his legs had turned to jelly as they dragged him past the polished glass windows, his expensive Italian loafers dragging faintly against the floor until the heavy double doors slammed shut behind him.

The boardroom remained frozen. Twenty-four executives sat in stunned silence, realizing they had just witnessed the most ruthless corporate execution in the history of the retail food industry.

Beatrice turned slowly, her pale eyes resting on me. She walked over to the head of the table, folded her hands over her cane, and looked me dead in the eye.

"Mr. Bishop," she said formally, loud enough for every board member to hear. "Silver Pine owes you an apology. And more importantly, it owes you your career back."
