Midnight approached, and the snow fell peacefully outside, blanketing the bustling streets of New York in pristine white silence.
The guests departed, leaving the penthouse in a warm, quiet serenity. The fire crackled softly in the marble hearth, casting long, amber reflections across the polished floors.
Nora and Ella had finally fallen asleep on the oversized leather sofa, exhausted from the festivities, still clutching their favorite toys.
Dominic walked over, gently lifting Ella into his arms and carrying her toward the bedroom wing, while Marco assisted with Nora. After tucking them in and pulling the heavy duvets over their shoulders, Dominic stood in the doorway for a long moment, watching their peaceful, untroubled breathing.
