Chapter 24 - The ExpulsionThe silence in the obsidian conference room was absolute. The three Geneva attorneys looked frantically between Lord Reginald and the liquidation papers, realizing they had been brought in to fight a battle that was already lost.

"You... you planned this," Reginald whispered, his voice losing its thunderous arrogance, replaced by a sudden, terrifying realization of his own vulnerability. "You knew I was coming."
"I always know when a rat smells cheese, Lord Sterling," Victoria replied, her voice remaining eerily calm. "You thought you could slip through the cracks while my attention was focused on domestic restructuring. Instead, you handed me the legal pretext to clean out the last remaining pocket of corruption in our European branch."
She stood up, buttoning her jacket.
"Marcus, have security escort Lord Sterling and his legal team off the premises. Revoke their security badges, cancel their parking permits, and ensure they are blacklisted from every financial district between London and Singapore."
"No... wait! You can't do this to a founding bloodline!" Reginald cried out as two security operatives stepped forward, gently but firmly lifting him out of his chair.

"Bloodline doesn't protect you from bankruptcy, Reginald," Victoria said, turning her back on him and walking toward the private exit. "The meeting is adjourned."
The legal team packed their briefcases in absolute terror, scrambling out of the room behind their disgraced employer, leaving the obsidian conference room entirely to the true heirs of the empire.
