Chapter 6 - The Corporate ExecutionThe next morning, the sun rose over the Whitmore Enterprises skyscraper, but inside the executive suite, a storm of unprecedented magnitude was brewing.

The emergency board meeting had been called at dawn. The directors sat around the mahogany table in tense whispers, whispering about the sudden freeze on Vanessa Whitmore’s assets and the bizarre rumors circulating through high society.
The heavy double doors swung open.
Adrian Whitmore walked in. He looked different—older, harder, his eyes carrying the dark circles of a man who hadn't slept, but radiating an aura of absolute, terrifying dominance.
Behind him walked a woman in a sharp, tailored obsidian-black suit, her hair pulled back into a sleek bun, her emerald eyes scanning the room like a general surveying a conquered battlefield.
Gasps erupted around the table.
Several board members stood up so fast their chairs scraped loudly against the marble floor.
"Clara... Clara Whitmore?" stammered Marcus Vance, the senior vice president and Vanessa’s primary ally on the board. "That’s impossible! You died in the crash!"
"The crash was a fabrication, Marcus," Clara said smoothly, her voice cutting through the murmurs like glass. She walked straight to the head of the table, standing right beside Adrian. "And as the holder of thirty-five percent of Whitmore Enterprises voting shares, I am officially returning to my seat on the board."
Marcus turned pale, looking frantically around the room. "Adrian! Are you insane? You can't just let an imposter—"
Adrian raised a single finger. The entire room went dead silent.
Adrian reached into his pocket, pulled out a small flash drive, and tossed it onto the center of the table. It landed with a sharp clack.
"Play it, Marcus," Adrian said softly, his voice devoid of all human warmth. "Play it for everyone to hear. It’s the confession of your little co-conspirator, Vanessa, detailing how she orchestrated Clara’s murder and your mutual insider trading schemes to siphon funds from our R&D accounts."

Marcus stared at the flash drive as if it were a live cobra. His knees wobbled, and he collapsed back into his leather chair, trembling uncontrollably.
"The police are downstairs," Adrian added, leaning forward, placing his palms flat on the table. "They have warrants for Vanessa, and warrants for every single board member who helped her cover up corporate espionage over the last five years. Class is dismissed."
