Chapter 30 - A New Dynasty

Six months later, the estate was bathed in the warm, golden glow of a California sunset. The scars of the past battles had been repaired, the bullet-scarred walls replaced with fresh stone and reinforced glass, but the atmosphere was lighter, cleaner, entirely free of ghosts.

The Zurich board had been dissolved permanently—not through violence, but through a systematic legal and financial dismantling executed by my father and me, utilizing the master ledger to freeze every shell corporation they owned across the globe.

I stood on the balcony of the master study, watching Theo, Miles, and Nora running across the emerald-green lawn, chasing a football while Sophie cheered them on from the stone bench, her battered cloth doll resting safely beside her.

Behind me, the glass doors slid open, and Vincent stepped out onto the balcony, holding two crystal glasses of scotch. He handed one to me.

"To family," my father said, raising his glass.

I clinked my glass against his, the sharp ring echoing softly in the evening breeze. "To family."

We stood together in silence, watching the children play as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the Pacific in brilliant shades of gold and crimson. The underworld still existed out there in the dark, waiting, watching, but it no longer mattered.
