"I took my time to ensure no one would follow me to your grave," Enzo replied, his voice dead flat, carrying an aura of absolute, terrifying finality.

Before The Architect could tighten his finger on the trigger, a thunderous crack echoed through the cavernous rafters. A high-caliber sniper round, orchestrated with clinical perfection by Marco from the cathedral's crumbling bell tower, blew through the upper clerestory window and instantly shattered The Architect’s right shoulder, sending his pistol clattering across the stone floor.

Enzo moved with the lethal, explosive speed of a man half his age. In three rapid strides, he closed the distance, his Beretta barking twice to neutralize the hidden perimeter guards emerging from the shadows before their weapons could even clear their holsters.
