Chapter 15 - The Digital Ghost

Locking down the estate physically wasn't enough; the real war was shifting to the digital frontier.

At 2:00 AM, the private security terminal in Lorenzo's study lit up with an encrypted data stream originating from a proxy server in Zurich. Alina sat in the dark room, her fingers flying across the console, tracing the digital footprint back to its source.

"It’s not just Aunt Elena," Alina said quietly, her face illuminated by the harsh blue glow of the monitors. "She’s acting as a front. Someone on the European commission is trying to hack our offshore maritime accounts to freeze our shipping lanes."

Lorenzo stood behind her, his hand resting firmly on the back of her chair. "Can you lock them out?"

"I’m not just locking them out," Alina replied, a dangerous, confident smile touching her lips. "I’m redirecting their primary liquidity fund directly into our charitable foundation under the audit trail of their own shell corporations. By sunrise, they won't just be broke; they’ll be exposed to international regulators."

Lorenzo looked down at her, a profound sense of pride washing over him. The woman he had once dismissed as a minor audit assistant was dismantling global syndicates with a keyboard.
